So I always wondered if people ever wondered about me and the whole fitness component of who I am. I am always tweeting about exercise or posting pics of the gym talking about supplements ect ect…funny thing is people sometimes ask me if I am a trainer or advice for their own fitness goals…truth be told the conviction that drives my health is rooted in healing.
see, both my mom and dad have diabeties, my mom has seizures as well, I have had a couple of them as well. both of my parents take an abundance of medications to help manage areas in their health that they could have controlled had they exercised some discipline in the arena of health.
I believe in the power and ability of the Holy Spirit to Break any and every yoke according to our faith but I also believe that obedience is better than sacrifice and the failure to apply wisdom we obtain in life is a waste of a precious resource that God makes available to us.Hearing my mom coplain about how hard it was to get the weight off in her forties inspired me to not put it on in my 20’s. learning what her poor diet did to her blood pressure, sugar levels and cholestrol motivates me all the more.
I believe living healthy is a part of healing. I can stop the generational curse that we say is inherited by exercising discipline in my life and teaching my children good health habits so they can avoid a sickness that they may be genetically predisposed to fall victim too. its the principle of obedience…
obedience is enforced discipline. it is making yourself do something based on knowledge, not emotions or feelings but cold hard facts.
Now..Suprise…this blog entry is not about health at all but its about the principle of dicipline… follow me
we pray for healing but struggle live a healthy lifestyle. why because being healthy day in day out requires disciplne.
we all want prosperiety but no one wants to exercise stewardship, why??? because that would require disipline in finances, paying bills on time consistently, saving, TITHING…
we want elevation without endurance, success without sowing, prestigue and power without perserverence.
we want covenant without commitment.
there are no shortcuts to the promises of God, however our impatience and inability or unwillingness to do it God’s way causes us to extend the process longer than it should be.
Joseph became the second in command over all of Egypt in his 30’s because he didn’t waste time trying to “make” god’s vision happen his way, instead he just trusted God at a not knowing level, remained faithful and consistent to the principles of God, never tried to circumvent the process and the vision came to pass.
the opposite can be said about moses leading these same people out of equpt generations later with the creation of idols in the wilderness and Moses striking the stone when commanded to speak to it. disobedience extended their time in the wilderness…even worse it disqualified many of them from the blessing.
so once again mi challange you…what area in you life have you been waiting for God to move in and have you been disciplined in that area?
God ordained elevation does not come about as the result of back room handshakes.
Kingdom prosperiety is not the result of any type of illegal activity including cutting corners by purchasing bootleg items or selling them for that matter.
you won’t get your spouse by lifting up your blouse…I’m just saying….
why continue to do what you see others do and fail?? why not be proactive and exercise the principles and wisdom you have been given and excell.. had you been exercising the principles all this time you have been attempting to find a short cut you would be so much closer to you goal or quite possibly surpassed it…principle..try it you may like it…consistency is the number 1 attribute of the successful.. be steadfast unmoveable always abounding in the things of God…
